Analysing taxi customer-search behaviour using Copula-based joint model

چکیده

Abstract The drivers of vacant taxis tend to cruise the road network searching new passengers, which leads additional traffic congestion, air pollution and other problems. This study introduces a Copula-based joint model analyse destination selection route choice behaviour in customer-search process. A multinomial logit is used behaviour, path size explore routes behaviour. Accordingly, applied Copula function then established correlation between these two behaviours. customer generation rate, distance, travel time, cumulative intersection delay, length are selected as explanatory variables. trajectory data were collected by global positioning system Xidan District Beijing City from September 2014 February 2015. Using log-likelihood, Bayesian information criterion evaluation indexes measure fitting result, has highest goodness-of-fit. effect variables on search discussed based parameter estimation results. results this helpful understand taxi reduce operating costs improve efficiency operation system.

Analysing Users WWW Search Behaviour

In a recent study [1], Internet users ranked search as their most important activity, awarding it a 9.1 on a 10-point scale. The next most important activity ranked only 6.3. Internet search engines are continually updating their indexes, and scaling up their parallel processors to keep up with the growth of the WWW. It is estimated that there are 800 million indexable pages in the WWW [2], and...

Data-driven customer behaviour model generation for agent based exploration

Customer retention is a critical concern for most mobile network operators because of the increasing competition in the mobile services sector. This concern has driven companies to exploit data as an avenue to better understand customer needs. Data mining techniques such as clustering and classification have been adopted to understand customer retention in the mobile services industry. However,...

A Copula-Based BRDF Model

In this paper, we introduce a novel approach for modeling surface reflection. We focus on using a family of probability distributions called Archimedean copulas as BRDF models. The Archimedean representation has an attractive property in that the multivariate distributions are characterized by their marginal distributions through a single univariate function only. It is shown that the proposed ...

Behaviour-based Search Interface

In this paper we present an evaluation of a behaviour-based adaptive search interface that predicts the current state of a user’s information need based on their interaction. We evaluate the hypotheses that our adaptive system selects additional query words that closely describe user needs and is able to accurately depict the degree of change in these needs. Our evaluation, with real users and ...
